That's a good question.  I would want 6 I think.  I would prefer all my own, only because I know how hard adoption can be and if I adopted (after having my own) I would adopt older kids.  That's what my neighbors did.  They have 6 kids and the two yougest ones were adopted from Turkey I think.  They had a lot of problems in the first few years.  They were 4 and 5 when they were adopted and were beaten over there.  They are happy now and I think it's great that the family did that.
